Trainer profile
Much of Israeli physiotherapist Orit Elion’s work centres on how technology is and can be used in the rehabilitation space.
She aims to further develop the interface between the two to better understand human motor perceptual behaviour and improve treatment methods.
Elion, whose career spans several decades, has worked as a senior physiotherapist in rehabilitation units and acute care departments in Israel, Canada, Norway and Germany.
She qualified as an IBITA-recognised Advanced Bobath instructor in 2018 and a notable part of her skillset is the ability to use highly-advanced virtual reality in her clinical and research work.
Her resumé includes working as a researcher and clinical supervisor at Israel’s prestigious Sheba Medical Centre, where she was involved at the CAREN Virtual Reality Lab and physiotherapy department.
Elion as also spent time at Tel Aviv University’s School of Physiotherapy.
She is currently a physiotherapy lecturer at Ariel University.
